The standard 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder makes 300 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque, while the available 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 pumps out 385 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. Both Ford Explorer powertrains pair exclusively with a 10-speed automatic transmission, though select shift capability gets added to the ST model.
